Hello, my name is Rachel and I'm a native English speaker from Tennessee in the USA. I've been teaching ESL for over 10 years to students from all around the world. English is the language of travel and speaking is the hardest part for many learners. Your ability to converse is the key that unlocks independent travel and new friendships. I have been teaching ESL since 2010. I have taught students of all ages from 4 to 60 years old in a variety of settings including language schools, primary or secondary schools, university, and as a private tutor both face-to-face and online.
During my classes we will focus mostly on conversations, because this is the aspect of the language that many students struggle with. I will use various popculture references, role-play activities and music that are related to your interests, so that my classes will be fun and entertaining to you. I lived in China for 5 years, in Bali and Puerto Vallarta. I have also traveled to 20 countries - traveling is very important to me, so we can also use this topic during our lessons.
I really like working with adults, because I believe that we can learn so much from each other during the classes. However, I can help children as well!
