Jorge Villoslada Durán (1997, Spain) began his musical education in Madrid. In the same city, he earns his degree in Art History at the Complutense University, specializing in contemporary art. At the same time, he begins his composition studies with Jose Pablo Polo. In his activity as a performer, he spends three years in the Galicia Youth Symphony Orchestra, where he gets to know the symphonic repertoire at close quarters and meets conductors, performers and composers such as Sayaka Shoji, Roberto González Monjas or Krzysztof Penderecki. During his studies with Carola Bauckholt at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz he has been able to work with ensembles such as the Neue Vocalsolisten, the Schallfeld Ensemble, the Landesjugendensemble für Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg and Delirium Ensemble. He has also received lessons from composers such as Óscar Escudero, Mauro Lanza and Volkmar Klien. As a curator he has received support from the city of Linz "an_TON 2021" for the development of the project “Music Box”. His works have been selected for the Wien Modern 33 festival as well as for the International Brucknerfest Linz 2021. Recently, his work was awarded a diploma in the 3rd International Composers Competition "New Music Generation 2021" of the Kazakh National University of Arts.
