I usually give all resources before the class to achieve the student's goals, I give also extra minutes lessons according to the student, implementing the intelligences learning strategies. I get deeper into repetition and vocabulary, because this is mostly used in daily conversations.
To manage language is not necessary to learn grammar too much, but to get used to the stereotypes of the language, as a first basis. It's a gradual process as anything in life.
